The Stone Lantern

Every Yugen piece is a digital design inspired by sumi-e ink painting, developed with the help of digital and AI tools and finished in the studio. Each one is a print, not a hand-painted original, made to order by JONDO, our print partner, including for UK and EU orders.

8x12 is printed on Fine Art paper only.

A stone lantern glows softly in a misty night garden, its warm window the only light among the indigo shadows and quiet leaves. Weathered, patient, unbothered by the dark — it has stood like this for a very long time. Drawn in deep indigo ink, in the spirit of classical Japanese sumi-e. This is wabi-sabi — the beauty of things worn by time, plain and enduring. A grounding piece for a contemplative room.

Each print is designed not as decoration, but as a small invitation to pause.
