Solitude

A single figure, the width of a brushstroke, held in a field of mist and empty paper. The Solitude Series is a set of quiet sumi-e style ink prints — one lone figure in open space, drawn from the spirit of classical Japanese ink painting, where what is left unpainted carries as much as what is.

Each piece is a different moment of being alone: crossing a misted bridge, resting by still water, standing small beneath an old windswept tree. Raw black ink on warm cream paper, made to order on archival matte stock. Hang one as a quiet anchor, or group three as a slow breath across the wall.
