Crane in the Reeds

Every Yugen piece is a digital design inspired by sumi-e ink painting, developed with the help of digital and AI tools and finished in the studio. Each one is a print, not a hand-painted original, made to order by JONDO, our print partner, including for UK and EU orders.

8x12 is printed on Fine Art paper only.

A red-crowned crane wades through moonlit shallows, tall reeds rising around it and a full moon glowing low behind. The water holds its reflection like a second, quieter bird. Drawn in deep indigo ink, in the spirit of classical Japanese sumi-e, with soft atmospheric washes. This is seijaku — not empty silence, but the deep, settled calm of a place at rest with itself. A serene piece for a room you want to breathe slower in.

THE PHILOSOPHY

Each print is designed not as decoration, but as a small invitation to pause.
