The Botanical Series
Flowers held the way ink holds them — a single stem, a cascade, a bloom rising from still water, set against the quiet of empty paper. This is a line of Japanese botanicals drawn in the spirit of sumi-e: indigo and blue-violet florals, some soft and misted, some deep and saturated, each one built on the negative space the tradition lives by. Hydrangea in the rain, iris at the water's edge, wisteria falling from the top of the frame. Made to order on archival matte paper.
