The Night

The Night Series Nine quiet moments after dark, drawn in deep indigo ink in the spirit of classical Japanese sumi-e. Fireflies drifting over black water, a full moon laid across a still pond, cranes among moonlit reeds, paper lanterns set afloat on the current. Each is built on the same soft washes and open, unhurried space — the mysterious depth the Japanese call yūgen.
