• Yugen Print is a one-person studio with a love of the sumi-e tradition. Every piece is chosen for a single quality: stillness.

Stillness. Solitude. Light. A single lotus rising from ink-stained water beneath a full moon — in raw sumi-e style, alive with the energy of a single gesture. Ink splatter scatters from the stem like rain on still water. The oldest meditation in East Asian art: the lotus that rises from darkness without being stained by it, the moon above complete and unchanging. In the spirit of classical sumi-e: nothing refined, nothing softened, only what is essential. For those who want their walls to hold quiet truth.
