Indigo Crane

Every Yugen piece is a digital design inspired by sumi-e ink painting, developed with the help of digital and AI tools and finished in the studio. Each one is a print, not a hand-painted original, made to order by JONDO, our print partner, including for UK and EU orders.

8x12 is printed on Fine Art paper only.

• Each print is made to order, just for you — never warehoused, never mass-produced.
• Not right for your wall? 14-day returns, no questions. The risk is ours, not yours.
• Yugen Print is a one-person studio with a love of the sumi-e tradition. Every piece is chosen for a single quality: stillness.

A solitary crane (tsuru) wades through still indigo water, half-veiled in mist. The crane is a centuries-old Japanese symbol of longevity, fidelity, and grace — depicted here in soft sumi-e ink-wash style on warm cream ground.

This print embodies yūgen (幽玄) — the profound, mysterious sense of beauty that hints at depths beyond what the eye can see. Designed to anchor a room with quiet intention.

About Yugen Print

Yugen Print creates original wall art rooted in the Japanese aesthetics of wabi-sabi (beauty in imperfection), ma (intentional space), and yūgen (profound, mysterious depth). Each design is conceived to bring quiet intention to the contemplative home.
