Falling Sakura

Every Yugen piece is a digital design inspired by sumi-e ink painting, developed with the help of digital and AI tools and finished in the studio. Each one is a print, not a hand-painted original, made to order by JONDO, our print partner, including for UK and EU orders.

8x12 is printed on Fine Art paper only.

• Each print is made to order, just for you — never warehoused, never mass-produced.
• Not right for your wall? 14-day returns, no questions. The risk is ours, not yours.
• Yugen Print is a one-person studio with a love of the sumi-e tradition. Every piece is chosen for a single quality: stillness.

A single branch of cherry blossoms in soft pink watercolor, petals falling toward a quiet ink wash on cream paper. A meditation on impermanence rendered in the traditional Japanese aesthetic of mono no aware (物の哀れ) — the gentle, bittersweet awareness of passing things.

In Japan, the cherry blossom (sakura, 桜) blooms for only a brief moment each spring. Its beauty is inseparable from its fleetingness. To watch petals fall is to remember that nothing lasts — and that this is precisely what makes it precious.

This original studio composition translates that contemplation into a print suited to bedrooms, reading nooks, meditation corners, and quiet hallways.
