A pine tree rises in layered tiers inside a double ring, every bough lined with fine needles. This is the matsu, the Japanese pine crest (kamon). The pine stays green through winter, and in Japan it is a symbol of long life and endurance.

This print shows it in solid black on cream paper, with two trunks and rounded canopies shaped like a garden bonsai. It feels steady and grounded, and sits well in any room you want to keep calm.
